Whistler-Blackcomb is the premier ski resort in North America. The village of Whistler is
located a little more than 100 miles north of Vancouver, BC and offers world class
restaurants and accommodations.
Year round activities include skiing, mountain biking, hiking, sleeping, eating and
drinking.
Friday morning, before Labor Day 2004, five of us piled into a Pontiac Montana van and
headed for the boarder. We arrived fairly well rested in Whistler Creekside (a suburb of
Whistler. Can villages have suburbs?) around 4:30pm.
We spent the next three days hanging around the condo, walking around Whistler Village,
hiking on Whistler Mountain, checking out local waterfalls and preparing and enjoying
several meals.

On Sunday Dad, Carolee and I took the gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain.
We all hiked over to the glacier then Dad and I did a little rock climbing to the
Ridge Lookout. Meanwhile Mom and Lynn explored Whistler Village and the weekly open
air market.
Next time I might even eat in a restaurant.
